Answer on Question 1

It is possible to send us your data in the following forms:

1. genealogical lists (with an index) as htm-file

2. genealogical lists as Text-file (MS-Word-doc or rtf-file)

3. transmitting a gedcom-file on a floppy disk or by e-Mail. In this case you should tell us your ideas about the form of presentation (descendant list, pedigree or family index) and the proband (i.e. the individual from which the generations of ancestors should start). It is also important to decide whether living persons should be included or not.

Each researcher should introduce himself by some short phrases (maybe with a little picture). Please transmit this introduction as a file, too. It is also required to give two lists containing the surnames and the places in the Westerwald area which the researcher is concentrating upon. In case you prepare the internet-files yourself please pay attention to:

a) do not use special characters like "." "/" "#" "="

b) do not employ file names longer than 8 characters

c) If there are longer file names, please send them in a WinZip file because file names are not changed or distorted within those those files
